Dr. Paul Mersh [1859-1932], Paris. Kress Foundation; gift to El Paso Museum of Art, no. 1961.1.10. [1] Mersh was a son-in-law of the art dealer Charles Sedelmeyer and vice-consul of Luxembourg, residing in Paris. He is said to have brought both K1329 and its companion K1330 to the United States in c. 1885. [2] Carvalho was a journalist and later manager of all William Randolph Hearst Publications.
