Lent to the Old Masters exhibition, Royal Academy, London, 1885, no. 229, as Cennino Cennini and to the New Gallery, London, 1894, no. 40, also as Cennino Cennini. Not included in either of the very large sales of paintings from the Butler estate held at Christie's, London, 25-26 May and 7 July 1911.
