Baer.  (David M. Koetser Gallery, New York); sold to Samuel H. Kress [1863-1955] on 20 January 1954; gift 1961 to the Denver Art Museum, no.1961.184 (on loan from the Kress Foundation, 1954–61).  Does not appear to be included in William II sale, de Vries, The Hague, 12-20 August 1850. Previously thourhg to be no. 35 or no. 190, but these are paintings by Mabuse and Titian respectively.  Baer as buyer according to printed price list bound with catalogue.
