Commissioned c. 1497 by Jean III de la Tour d'Auvergne [1467-1501] and Jeanne de Bourbon de la Tour d'Auvergne [d. 1512], Vic-le Comte; bequeathed to the Cordeliers de Vic-le-Comte; presented to Emmanuel Theodosius de La Tour d'Auvergne, Cardinal de Bouillon, Grand Almoner of France [1643-1715] on 27 July 1703. (Possibly sale, Paris, 1872-1874). Prince and Princess de La Tour d'Auvergne in 1909. [1] (M. Knoedler & Co., Inc., New York); sold to the Samuel H.
