Kress [1863-1955] on 10 October 1935; gift 1939 to the National Gallery of Art; deaccessioned 1952 and returned to the Samuel H. Kress Foundation; gift to El Paso Museum of Art, no. 1961.1.27.  Said to have been bought in Rome in 1845 and to have come from a triptych in the Franciscan convent at Amandola (Marches).
